This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and develop innovative measurement products by integrating Nielsen datasets across National and Local linear TV, Streaming, Audio, and Digital platforms.
• Construct statistical and machine learning models that enhance or modify Nielsen methodologies.
• Write high-quality SQL, Python, and PySpark code to extract, transform, and model data effectively.
• Develop reusable data pipelines and ETL workflows for consistent delivery of tailored solutions.
• Leverage AI tools to validate models, expedite pipeline development, stress-test logic, and enhance delivery speed.
• Convert stakeholder requests into clearly defined analytical challenges.
• Thoroughly document methodologies and underlying assumptions.
• Collaborate closely with teams in Research, Commercial Sales, and Client Insights.
• Articulate complex model decisions in straightforward language.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Nielsen datasets such as TAM, DAR/N1Ads, DCR, or Audio.
• Practical knowledge of Nielsen weighting, projection, and audience estimation methodologies.
• Capability to merge and reconcile various Nielsen data sources.
• Strong grasp of US media research fundamentals in Television and Digital sectors.
• Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least 5 years in data science or analytical research positions.
• Proven history of delivering production-quality models.
• Solid foundations in statistical modeling, sampling theory, weighting, and survey-based projections.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong PySpark expertise for handling big data in cloud environments.
• Experience with Databricks for large-scale data processing and ML workflows.
• Background in building and maintaining ETL pipelines using Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, cloud-native storage solutions, and data engineering principles.
• Regular daily use of AI tools for code generation, model validation, documentation, and workflow enhancement.
• Experience designing agentic AI workflows for automation purposes.
• Ability to assess and validate AI outputs.
• Skill in explaining methodological decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong documentation practices.
• Proficiency in Tableau, Spotfire, or comparable visualization tools.
