This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop the Lifecycle measurement framework by defining health metrics for both homeowners and professionals, designing experiments with appropriate rigor, and addressing attribution and contamination challenges in uncertain measurement contexts.
• Foster relationships with cross-functional teams throughout the pro and homeowner lifecycle. Grasp strategic challenges and contextualize them to leverage data for unlocking new growth opportunities and shaping the product roadmap.
• Integrate evidence from various data sources to generate insights that transform senior leaders’ mental models — going beyond simply reporting what occurred to elucidate why it happened and what actions to take next across the entire pro and customer lifecycle; provide analytical rigor to advance toward intelligent, customer-focused decision-making and personalization.
• Act as the technical lead for the Lifecycle — influence senior cross-functional partners, drive alignment at the pillar level through insights and collaboration. Offer strong opinions on strategic decisions and trade-offs, grounded in your extensive domain expertise.
• Continuously enhance workflow automation and self-service capabilities by exploring new ideas, executing proof of concepts, and mentoring fellow data science team members.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in a highly analytical role, demonstrating strong proficiency in SQL and Python for working with large, complex datasets.
• Established a reputation as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and diverse cross-functional teams, particularly in managing non-technical stakeholders by leveraging insights to build consensus and influence strategy across product, marketing, and engineering, effectively influencing without direct authority.
• Proven experience in independently leading long-term, ambiguous analytical projects with measurable business outcomes — not merely executing predefined analyses but also scoping and shaping the initiatives.
• Extensive expertise in experimental design, causal inference, and statistical methods — with the ability to navigate uncertainty in measurement contexts and clearly communicate uncertainty to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in developing data products — such as dashboards, self-service tools, or reusable analytical frameworks — that extend beyond your immediate team.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to link data insights to lifecycle strategy, providing clear prioritization recommendations amidst uncertainty.
