This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Concentrate on comprehending existing models, evaluating their effectiveness, selecting the most suitable architectures, and refining them to address specific domain and business requirements.
• Work collaboratively with data engineering, product, and domain teams to convert real-world research challenges into scalable, model-driven solutions.
• Optimize and enhance large language models (LLMs) and domain-specific variants utilizing proprietary datasets.
• Assess model performance based on key metrics and benchmarks.
• Implement and operationalize systems based on LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Partner with data engineering to guarantee scalable and efficient model training, evaluation, and deployment workflows.
• Evaluate and choose models that best suit domain-specific needs and Advarra’s regulated research context.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational specialists to transform research and trial challenges into quantifiable model evaluation frameworks.
• Perform analyses on model interpretability and bias.
• Record methodologies and validation outcomes.
• Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Over 5 years of practical experience in developing and fine-tuning ML or LLM models.
• Proven expertise in Python, including familiarity with a commercial framework such as PyTorch.
• Practical experience in developing, managing, and troubleshooting workflows within Databricks for data engineering, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
• Documented strong grasp of the ML lifecycle.
• Experience with embeddings and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
