Senior Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Drive the Roadmap: Provide creative input to the technical and product roadmaps, assessing the effort required for discovery and swift execution.

• Collaborate & Translate: Partner closely with product managers and engineers to transform abstract business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Predict & Prevent: Anticipate potential code issues by proactively addressing challenges and considering the downstream effects of your solutions.

• Own the Lifecycle: Manage complex initiatives from start to finish, including initial stakeholder scoping, production deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

• Lead by Example: Enhance departmental code quality through thorough, detailed code reviews and by establishing best practices for AI-assisted development at the team level.

• Innovate: Keep ahead of industry trends by introducing new techniques and maintaining a comprehensive record of technical debt with clear resolution strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a solid foundation in statistics, machine learning, or a related quantitative field.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing AWS (S3, Lambda) and SageMaker to develop, train, and deploy machine learning models at scale.

• Proficient in Python with extensive experience in ML techniques such as regression, classification, and optimization.

• Ability to make informed design trade-offs and provide high-level guidance across various components of a domain.

• Experience with AI tools for rapid feature prototyping and the capability to define validation standards for AI-generated code.

• Strong understanding of product experiment design, analytics, and rigorous statistical analysis.

• Familiarity with modern ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries such as Pandas/Numpy.

• Experience in building model development pipelines and deploying models at scale.

• The Communicator: Capable of facilitating high-stakes discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring everyone understands the key takeaways.

• The Finisher: Possess the determination to see complex projects through to completion, valuing even less desirable tasks if they contribute to the team's efficiency.
