Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, enhancement, and assessment of ML scoring models (such as CTR, CVR, and RoAS), which are essential to the core bidding logic.

• Develop model strategies for intricate solutions that incorporate user, product, and placement signals, ensuring they are prepared for high-throughput and low-latency environments.

• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to convert strategic objectives into quantifiable modeling results and technical roadmaps.

• Offer technical leadership and quality assurance for Data Science workstreams within the project scope, ensuring compliance with production standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience in designing, training, and enhancing Deep Learning models for critical production applications.

• Demonstrated proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, along with strong practical experience with Pandas and NumPy.

• Advanced SQL capabilities, ideally including analytical SQL utilized in large-scale data environments.

• Extensive experience with public cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform, encompassing ML-oriented services like Vertex AI and Vertex Pipelines.

• Proven track record of leading end-to-end model development, from problem framing and feature design to evaluation and production transition.

• Solid engineering principles, including the ability to write production-level, testable, and well-documented Python code, with an understanding of CI/CD practices.

• Capability to mentor fellow Data Scientists and elevate modeling standards throughout the team.

• Relevant academic qualifications or considerable professional experience in a STEM discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Quantitative Methods, or Physics).

• Minimum English proficiency level of B2.

• Nice to have: Experience in developing ML models for applications requiring low-latency.

• Background in advertising or marketing sectors.

• Proven experience in developing ML models to predict business events such as clicks or conversions (i.e., Click-Through Rate (CTR) and Conversion Rate (CVR) modeling).

• Proficiency in traditional machine learning methods, including Gradient Boosted Trees.

• Experience in mentoring, providing technical leadership, or coordinating model development across a wider team.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools to enhance engineering productivity and quality.
