This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Design, enhance, and support predictive and prescriptive models aimed at addressing intricate business challenges.

• Extract, cleanse, validate, and engineer data to guarantee that models utilize precise and suitable datasets.

• Discover and integrate new data sources to elevate analytical solutions and enhance business outcomes.

• Employ Machine Learning, statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and advanced analytics techniques to tackle business issues.

• Construct, assess, refine, and consistently enhance models based on their performance and impact on the business.

• Assist in the implementation and operationalization of Machine Learning models utilizing MLOps and production model lifecycle best practices.

• Track model performance, adoption, implementation, and impact through metrics, scorecards, and dashboards.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate model results and convert analytical insights into actionable recommendations.

• Partner with technology teams to facilitate integrations between analytical solutions and larger technology ecosystems.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists and analytics experts to ensure the application of appropriate datasets, calculations, and methodologies.

• Articulate methodologies, findings, recommendations, and model performance to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Provide technical expertise, knowledge sharing, and guidance within the Data Science team.

• Navigate shifting priorities and ambiguous challenges independently with a solutions-oriented approach.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, or related fields, with the seniority needed to contribute effectively with minimal onboarding time.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative, analytical, or technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 4 years of experience with SQL or NoSQL database environments, showcasing strong hands-on SQL skills.

• At least 2 years of experience with scientific scripting or object-oriented programming, demonstrating solid practical experience using Python for Machine Learning and analytical modeling.

• More than 3 years of experience with advanced analytical techniques such as Bayesian statistics, advanced regression analysis, supervised learning, unsupervised learning, or time-series analysis.

• Strong comprehension of Machine Learning and MLOps, including the processes for developing, evaluating, implementing, monitoring, and enhancing models.

• Experience in manipulating, analyzing, and engineering complex datasets.

• Capability to choose suitable analytical methods, models, and algorithms based on the business issue at hand.

• Exceptional analytical and logical problem-solving skills.

• Ability to clearly articulate the methodology, reasoning, assumptions, and decisions behind analytical tasks.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Confidence in communicating with senior stakeholders and translating intricate technical concepts into clear business insights.

• Proficient in working effectively in a dynamic environment where priorities and requirements may shift.

• Strong aptitude for receiving and providing constructive feedback.

• High level of autonomy, ownership, precision, and attention to detail.

• Experience in transitioning Machine Learning models from experimentation to production environments.

• Comprehensive knowledge of MLOps practices and model lifecycle management.

• Background in complex predictive or prescriptive analytics projects.

• Experience with mathematical modeling, optimization, heuristic methods, or other advanced analytical strategies.

• Exposure to large-scale or complex enterprise environments.

• Proven ability to translate Data Science discoveries into actionable recommendations that business stakeholders can comprehend and implement.

• Experience in collaboration across Data, Technology, and Business teams.

• Ability to foresee challenges, proactively identify opportunities, and suggest solutions.

• Strong professional demeanor combined with adaptability, teamwork, and critical thinking.
