This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design, develop, and sustain sophisticated data science solutions within Army Vantage and associated DoD platforms.
• Construct, implement, and enhance machine learning models, including ensemble models, neural networks, and LLM-based solutions.
• Create and integrate APIs and automated data pipelines across Army and vendor systems.
• Assist in data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration in accordance with Army and DoD standards.
• Design and refine data architectures for predictive analytics and visualization within Vantage environments.
• Examine complex datasets to produce actionable insights for mission stakeholders.
• Collaborate with military personnel, technical experts, and cross-functional teams to provide data-driven solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with DoD and Army policies, including secure data exchange via CDS.
• Convey technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in data science, ideally supporting government or military programs.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and contemporary data science frameworks.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry, including Ontology and Data Marketplace, as well as Army Vantage environments.
• Solid foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
• Experience in designing and integrating APIs within DoD or Army systems.
• Familiarity with data architecture, infrastructure, and the development of large-scale data pipelines.
• Understanding of DoD cloud environments, including IL4, IL5, and IL6, along with secure data handling practices.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional settings.
• Active SECRET security clearance.
• Preferred: experience with Army-specific systems and data platforms.
• Preferred: demonstrated success in deploying machine learning models in operational settings.
• Preferred: experience with LLM vectorization, customization, and advanced analytics techniques.
• Preferred: certifications in data science, cloud computing, or related technical fields.
• Preferred: understanding of cybersecurity and compliance requirements within DoD environments.
