This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Acquire, cleanse, validate, store, secure, and enhance datasets from both internal and external sources.
• Ensure data is accessible, reliable, timely, and adheres to data lifecycle processes.
• Design and implement enterprise data architectures, policies, practices, and procedures.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to comprehend user requirements.
• Convert business requirements into technical data specifications.
• Identify areas for process enhancement.
• Work with various teams to fulfill all data-related needs.
• Manage and finalize projects within designated timelines and scope.
• Prepare data for reporting and analysis, including creating visualizations.
• Conduct thorough data analyses to extract insights that inform business decisions and outcomes.
• Oversee projects from initiation through the full lifecycle, including design, coding, code review, and deployment.
• Hold demonstration meetings with clients to present project developments.
• Offer architectural insights on data warehousing, data lakes, and contemporary BI technologies.
• Travel occasionally to Humana offices for training sessions or meetings.
• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 7 years of technical experience in data analysis utilizing ETL tools and developing ETL solutions with SSIS, ADF, and/or Databricks.
• Experience in a SQL environment with in-depth knowledge of SSMS and SSIS.
• Extensive background in developing stored procedures and dynamic SQL.
• Strong familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics and Snowflake.
• Proficient in Power Platforms: Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
• Experience in making complex data accessible, understandable, and usable for leadership.
• Proven track record of leading projects through all phases, from design and coding to code review and deployment.
• Skilled in root cause analysis.
• Demonstrated capability to solve problems and offer solutions for business or data challenges.
• Excellent presentation abilities for client demonstration meetings.
• Experience managing deadlines while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare or managed care.
• Preferred: Experience in implementing scalable and maintainable dimensional data models.
• Preferred: Experience with Azure Data Factory automation and data architecture implementation.
• Preferred: Experience in providing architectural guidance on Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Modern BI concepts using Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Databricks.
• Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
• Ability to work from a dedicated space without interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
