Senior Data Engineer – Talend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing Talend.

• Integrate data from various systems and sources to meet business and analytics needs.

• Develop and enhance data transformation and integration processes.

• Diagnose complex data and pipeline issues and conduct root cause analysis.

• Ensure that pipelines are reliable, maintainable, testable, and ready for production.

• Engage in code reviews and adhere to best practices in development and data engineering.

• Collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams to comprehend requirements and deliver data solutions.

• Assist with deployments, releases, and maintenance of production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering at a senior level.

• Strong practical experience with Talend for ETL/data integration.

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining production-grade data pipelines.

• Profound understanding of SQL and data transformation principles.

• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, release pipelines, and observability practices.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities for intricate data issues.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams.

• Preferred experience in developing Java-based applications.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms or Big Data technologies is a plus.

• Experience with other ETL/orchestration tools is advantageous.

• Understanding of data quality and monitoring practices is preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and take responsibility for technical issues.

• Strong communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficiency in conversational English and Spanish is essential.

• Foreign residents in Mexico must possess a valid INE, CURP, NSS, and RFC.
