This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ Design, implement, and manage the tracking setup for web and product data, including Google Tag Manager.
β’ Define event schemas and tracking strategies.
β’ Ensure consistent collection of pertinent customer journey signals.
β’ Integrate clickstream and behavioral data from search, navigation, recommendations, product pages, and conversion processes into the data platform.
β’ Develop and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines, along with reusable data products.
β’ Establish the data foundation for A/B testing, personalization, and recommendation systems.
β’ Work with Kafka and event-based data sources, integrating various systems into the platform.
β’ Ensure the quality of data, consent management, governance, and protection of behavioral data.
β’ Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, UX, Analytics, and Online Marketing teams.
β’ Contribute to the Data Engineering practice and help evolve shared standards and workflows.
β’ Several years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar technical data position.
β’ Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
β’ Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.
β’ Solid background in web and product tracking, particularly in event tracking and clickstream data.
β’ Extensive knowledge of Google Tag Manager; experience with server-side tagging is an advantage.
β’ Familiarity with a modern data stack, preferably including Snowflake, dbt, and Prefect.
β’ Experience with Kafka or similar event and streaming technologies.
β’ Knowledge of AWS; experience with Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi or Terraform is beneficial.
β’ Understanding of consent management, GDPR compliance, data quality, and governance practices.
β’ Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work approach.
β’ Proficient in German at least at B2 level and strong English language skills.
β’ Nice to have: Experience with GA4, server-side tracking, or a Customer Data Platform.
β’ Nice to have: Understanding of A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
β’ Nice to have: Experience with personalization or recommendation data.
β’ Nice to have: Familiarity with search or discovery systems like Algolia.
