Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake as the primary platform.

• Implement data ingestion, integration, and transformation processes (ETL/ELT).

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and transformation processes.

• Utilize Snowflake features for automation, integration, governance, sharing, and optimization of data.

• Create data engineering solutions in Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Participate in end-to-end data engineering and advanced analytics projects.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in architecture, Business Intelligence (BI), and Data Science.

• Optimize the performance, scalability, and efficiency of data solutions.

• Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies based on project requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum professional experience of 2-3 years as a Data Engineer.

• Proven experience working with Snowflake, beyond its use as a data storage platform.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and optimizing data.

• Experience in programming with Python.

• Knowledge of Apache Spark, in Databricks or other environments.

• Experience in data modeling and development of ingestion and transformation pipelines.

• Practical knowledge of Snowflake functionalities related to integration, automation, processing, and optimization of data.

• Ability to develop scalable data solutions and troubleshoot technical issues.

• Experience working with Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Familiarity with tools like Databricks, dbt, and Apache Airflow.

• Experience with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Snowpark.

• Knowledge of data governance, security, and information sharing in Snowflake.

• Experience in optimizing SQL queries, performance, and processing costs.

• Understanding of Snowflake's artificial intelligence capabilities.

• Experience in designing data architectures and participating in end-to-end projects.

• For Senior profiles, experience in making technical decisions, designing architectures, and resolving complex issues.
