Azure Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design and develop cutting-edge analytics capabilities.

• Construct data platforms utilizing the Azure stack and Spark SQL.

• Create data ingestion pipelines with Azure Data Factory for both structured and unstructured data.

• Transform raw data into user-friendly formats using Azure Databricks.

• Develop data marts with Snowflake leveraging data stored in Azure storage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Proficient in Python scripting.

• Experience in extracting, querying, and joining large data sets at scale.

• Proven experience in constructing data platforms with the Azure stack and Spark SQL.

• Skilled in building data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory for both structured and unstructured data.

• Strong understanding of Azure Storage structures, including Gen1 and Gen2.

• Experience in transforming raw data into a consumer-friendly format with Azure Databricks.

• Familiarity with Azure networking, security, key vaults, and related technologies.

• Experience using Snowflake to develop data marts with data stored in Azure storage is advantageous.

• Exposure to Big Data applications is a plus.
