Senior Data Engineer – Mobile Apps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage data pipelines that facilitate daily reporting, attribution, and lifetime value (LTV) analysis.

• Extract data from advertising platforms, payment systems, and product backends into Databricks.

• Schedule and manage jobs using Apache Airflow.

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of silver and gold tables.

• Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to enhance both internal and external workflows.

• Collect requirements from stakeholders in product, engineering, and marketing.

• Assess options and create tools and processes that align with organizational objectives.

• Work in collaboration with Analytics, Marketing, and Data Science teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective collaboration abilities for engaging with cross-functional teams.

• Outstanding communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at various levels.

• Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

• Proficient in Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks, Unity Catalog, Delta, Apache Airflow, and GCP, including GCS and BigQuery.

• Familiarity with dbt and advertising/payment APIs such as Google Ads, Stripe, and RevenueCat or similar platforms is a plus.

• Strong grasp of agile methodologies.

• Experience with production ownership, scheduled jobs, data quality assessments, alerting, and recovery of failed daily processes.

• Interest in marketing expenditure, subscriptions, and attribution.

• Capability to manage multiple projects while ensuring alignment with brand standards, cultural nuances, and regulatory requirements.
