This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient data pipelines and workflows.
• Offer technical expertise on architectural design and work closely with Data Engineers for implementation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data-related technical challenges and support data infrastructure requirements.
• Execute data integration, transformation, and cleansing processes.
• Convert business needs into technical specifications and completed products.
• Engage in code reviews and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Lead the creation and upkeep of documentation for data engineering processes and systems.
• Generate ad-hoc reports for both internal and external partners.
• Assist in troubleshooting and support for over 100 data pipelines.
• Work with the application development team to refresh data and data structures.
• Provide analysis, suggestions, and feedback to business process owners, leadership, and the Information Technology department.
• Recommend automated solutions for repetitive development tasks.
• Collaborate with Data Engineer III’s to shape overall product strategy.
• Mentor Data Engineer I’s in their professional development.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare data privacy and security regulations.
• Bachelor's degree with a focus on Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field required; relevant work experience in a similar role may substitute for educational qualifications.
• Experience in data engineering or a related discipline.
• High proficiency in Python, T-SQL, SSMS, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with data integration, transformation, and data warehousing techniques.
• Strong grasp of data privacy and security regulations.
• Capability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and final products.
• Expertise in data compilation, report generation, and information presentation.
• Demonstrated experience in a dynamic environment managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent written, verbal, and customer service abilities.
• Skill in handling several tasks and projects at once.
• Experience in mentoring junior developers or a willingness to take on a mentoring position.
• Knowledge of healthcare data along with relevant privacy and security regulations.
• Experience with cloud services, particularly Azure.
• Familiarity with the agile framework.
• Experience using software development lifecycle tools such as Red-Gate, Bitbucket, or JIRA.
• Ability to operate within environments involving computers and printers; perform typing and repetitive computer-related tasks.
