Senior Data Engineer – Cybersecurity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Sustain and enhance current data processes with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and performance enhancement.

• Examine and gain a thorough understanding of existing data models, workflows, tables, and processing tasks.

• Detect technical deficiencies, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential areas for architectural advancements.

• Design, optimize, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and transformation workflows.

• Lead modernization efforts across the data platform and participate in the long-term evolution of architecture.

• Enhance complex SQL queries and improve data processing speed and efficiency.

• Collaborate with product engineering and cross-functional teams on technical solutions and implementation plans.

• Contribute to both short-term delivery targets and long-term platform development projects.

• Ensure compliance with best practices in data engineering, system reliability, and performance optimization.

• Engage in technical discussions, solution design, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.

• Proficient in Python at an expert level.

• Expert-level SQL skills with hands-on experience in optimizing complex queries for enhanced performance and scalability.

• Strong practical experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.

• Comprehensive understanding of database principles, including DDL, DML, indexing, normalization, and advanced SQL techniques.

• Practical experience with Snowflake.

• Familiarity with Elastic Stack technologies.

• Proven track record in designing, constructing, and managing large-scale data pipelines.

• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.

• Capacity to work independently in an engineering environment with high autonomy.

• Experience in driving technical projects from concept to execution.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Upper-Intermediate level or higher in English proficiency.

• Experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration is advantageous.
