
Senior Data Engineer – B2B

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the development, upkeep, and advancement of data pipelines that support Wpromote’s B2B clients and services.
• Convert intricate B2B marketing and business needs into dependable, scalable data solutions.
• Manage B2B data pipelines comprehensively, including approved adjustments to downstream pipelines and data models.
• Create datasets, pipelines, and validation tools for measurement and scoring initiatives.
• Assess the effects of changes across the wider data ecosystem while maintaining data quality and ease of maintenance.
• Transform recurring client requirements into standardized models, reusable components, and scalable B2B data capabilities.
• Design, develop, deploy, and provide support for pipelines utilizing BigQuery, dbt, Python, and orchestration frameworks.
• Integrate and normalize data from CRM, marketing automation, ABM and intent, attribution, enrichment, sales engagement, paid media, web analytics, and product telemetry systems.
• Construct account-level measurement data models that link engagement, leads, contacts, accounts, campaigns, opportunities, touchpoints, and sales activities.
• Diagnose production issues and manage both upstream and downstream dependencies.
• Enhance data quality through automated testing, validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and observability.
• Contribute to standard B2B data architecture and create reusable, configuration-driven solutions.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and codebase exploration.
• Establish activation and reverse ETL pipelines to operational systems and advertising platforms.
• Research and validate third-party and vendor data feeds.
• Develop analytical datasets that support scoring model calibration and validation.
• Collaborate with client teams, Data Engineering, and Product.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in independently managing production data pipelines and data models.
• Advanced expertise in SQL and BigQuery.
• Intermediate to advanced programming capabilities in Python.
• Significant experience with dbt or a comparable transformation and orchestration framework.
• Strong comprehension of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data transformation, and data quality principles.
• Hands-on data engineering or analytics experience with CRM and at least two other domains within the B2B technology ecosystem.
• Thorough understanding of B2B data models and customer journeys.
• Experience in integrating data across multiple B2B systems and reconciling discrepancies in identifiers, entities, lifecycle definitions, business processes, and data structures.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Experience in an advertising agency, consulting firm, or other multi-client environments.
• Familiarity with lead-to-account matching and identity resolution.
• Experience in reconstructing historical states from CRM and marketing data.
