Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop essential, resilient, and self-service data products utilizing Apache Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake, and various other big data technologies.

• Maintain pipeline efficiency and ensure data integrity through scalable architecture and optimization techniques.

• Adapt data solutions in response to evolving business needs and technical limitations.

• Work collaboratively with teams to identify data requirements and promote the adoption of data products throughout the organization.

• Utilize modern data stacks and AI tools to create sophisticated solutions.

• Design solutions to address technical challenges and shape platform architecture.

• Explore, develop, and incorporate new data processing tools and technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience with a focus on development, deployment, and integration.

• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (Scala, Java, Python, or similar).

• Experience in data environments, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Data Marts, data transformation concepts, and handling large data volumes.

• Proven experience in constructing ETL pipelines for feature engineering on large-scale datasets using Apache Spark and Delta Lake.

• Familiarity with sourcing and modeling data from application APIs.

• Experience in building stream-processing applications with Spark-Streaming, Kafka Streams, or similar technologies.

• Background in designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for data pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, or others.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Upper-intermediate proficiency in English and strong command of Russian.

• A Master’s, PhD, or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science (preferred).
