This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Create and develop scalable data pipelines that drive data products across various business sectors.
• Lead initiatives for cloud data migration and enhance existing platforms by transitioning to Azure-based solutions.
• Optimize and transform extensive datasets for reporting, analytics, and informed business decisions.
• Work collaboratively with Data Analysts, ML Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Backend Developers, Product Managers, and other business stakeholders.
• Provide comprehensive end-to-end data solutions.
• Advocate for clean, maintainable code, automation, engineering best practices, and continuous enhancements across the data platform.
• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Proficiency in Data Platforms, Data Modeling, and production-level data pipelines.
• Strong skills in Python and SQL.
• Capability to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience with distributed data processing systems such as Apache Spark, Flink, or Beam.
• Familiarity with large-scale datasets, data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of scalable system design, data engineering best practices, and Lakehouse technologies like Apache Delta, Iceberg, and Hudi.
• Experience with Snowflake, DBT, Docker, Kubernetes, workflow orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or NiFi, and CI/CD pipelines is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with relational databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as HBase or Cassandra.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and automated deployment practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, a sense of ownership, a consultative approach, and the capability to work independently in complex, fast-paced environments.
