This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of intricate technical projects from inception to completion with minimal guidance, covering design to production.
• Create, develop, and sustain scalable ELT pipelines using dbt in conjunction with a Snowflake data warehouse.
• Optimize Snowflake queries and enhance warehouse performance.
• Develop and manage orchestration workflows utilizing Apache Airflow.
• Implement best practices in dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and analytics engineering.
• Prepare and structure data for contemporary BI tools, primarily Sigma, with some experience in Tableau for embedded, customer-facing reporting.
• Recognize opportunities for automation, process enhancement, and platform modernization.
• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers through code reviews and technical support.
• Actively identify and report risks and performance challenges.
• Contribute to the evolution of the platform's AI/ML data capabilities.
• Over 7 years of professional data engineering experience, demonstrating a history of managing complex projects with minimal supervision.
• Practical expertise with Snowflake, encompassing performance tuning and contemporary Snowflake features.
• Extensive experience with dbt for building and maintaining production ELT pipelines.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow or a similar orchestration platform.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Strong foundation in dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and analytics engineering best practices.
• Comfortable working with modern reporting and visualization tools such as Sigma, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable, and well-documented pipelines and models.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring, with a readiness to review code and elevate the technical skills of junior engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Background checks may be necessary for specific positions/projects.

• Preferred: Experience with Snowflake Cortex and/or Snowflake AI certification.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Sigma.
