Senior Data Architect, Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and advancement of the client's data platform.

• Take ownership of the long-term data architecture strategy and ensure alignment with business objectives and strategies.

• Lead the transition of data pipelines to Microsoft Fabric and promote data to the curated golden layer.

• Design and enhance data lake and Delta Lake-based architectures utilizing Azure Cloud Services.

• Assess and select technologies, frameworks, and standards for the implementation of the data architecture.

• Establish and advocate for best practices in data management and governance.

• Work collaboratively with leadership teams and business stakeholders to address changing business requirements.

• Identify intricate technical challenges and propose creative solutions.

• Provide expert technical guidance to data development and architecture teams.

• Review design choices and resolve complex implementation issues.

• Ensure adherence to relevant data security regulations and standards.

• Mentor and empower team members.

• Develop and sustain relationships with technology partners and suppliers.

• Represent data architecture in both internal and external technical and strategic discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English (C1 or above), essential for direct communication with international stakeholders.

• Extensive hands-on experience in data platform architecture, including data modeling and large-scale ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes.

• Demonstrated experience with cloud data platforms, particularly Azure Cloud Services and Microsoft Fabric.

• Familiarity with data lake design, implementation, and Delta Lake-based architectures.

• Proven track record of guiding teams through complex technology migrations and architectural transformations.

• Strong mentoring and technical leadership abilities, with a focus on supporting the development of junior team members.

• Capability to convey complex data architecture concepts in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Relevant Azure certifications related to data platform architecture or Microsoft Fabric (preferred).

• Experience in defining data governance frameworks and data security compliance standards (preferred).

• Background in collaborating with technology vendors and strategic suppliers on data platform projects (preferred).

• Experience presenting technical or architectural strategies in cross-functional or executive settings (preferred).
