Cloud Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Manage Level 2 BAU tickets, incidents, service requests, and infrastructure modifications.

• Diagnose and resolve issues escalated from Level 1 engineers.

• Oversee and support AWS infrastructure across development, staging, and production stages.

• Provision, configure, and troubleshoot Amazon EC2 instances.

• Provide support for AWS networking elements including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, network ACLs, internet gateways, NAT gateways, and load balancers.

• Diagnose network connectivity issues between cloud resources and applications.

• Support and troubleshoot Amazon EKS infrastructure from a cloud/platform viewpoint.

• Assist with IAM users, roles, policies, and access-related challenges.

• Manage, renew, install, and troubleshoot SSL/TLS certificates.

• Oversee and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure security settings.

• Provide support for Linux and Windows Server administration.

• Execute and coordinate Linux patching, Windows patching, reboots, health validation, and post-patching verification.

• Diagnose server-level issues related to CPU, memory, disk, networking, and application connectivity.

• Utilize Terraform for cloud infrastructure modifications.

• Develop and adjust Terraform configurations for standard infrastructure needs.

• Review Terraform plans and resolve deployment failures.

• Facilitate infrastructure automation using Ansible.

• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, restoration, and disaster recovery efforts.

• Support cloud backup and recovery processes.

• Conduct root cause analyses for recurring infrastructure issues.

• Engage in production support and on-call rotations.

• Collaborate with DevOps, Application, Security, and Network teams during incident resolution.

• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and operational procedures.

• Ensure cloud infrastructure adheres to security and operational standards.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS.

• Strong practical knowledge of Amazon EC2.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Amazon EKS.

• Solid hands-on knowledge of AWS IAM.

• In-depth knowledge of VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and load balancers.

• Experience in Linux administration.

• Experience in Windows Server administration.

• Familiarity with Linux and Windows patching.

• Experience with Terraform.

• Proficient in Ansible.

• Knowledge of SSL/TLS certificate management.

• Understanding of cloud networking.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools.

• Knowledge of incident management processes.

• Understanding of backup and recovery procedures.

• Experience in production support.
