Senior Data Analytics Engineer, BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Reporting Reliability & Data Quality by ensuring that dashboards and reports are accurate, dependable, and consistently accessible.

• Implement monitoring, alerting, and SLAs for essential reporting assets while investigating and resolving data issues through thorough root-cause analysis.

• Develop Scalable Data Models by designing and optimizing SQL transformations and data models to enhance the performance of datasets and reporting queries.

• Minimize duplication by centralizing business logic within the data layer.

• Deliver High-Impact BI Solutions by creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.

• Ensure timely project delivery with clear estimation and predictable execution.

• Uphold Data Trust & Observability by implementing data validation checks and anomaly detection, while proactively identifying issues before they affect stakeholders.

• Enhance overall data quality across pipelines and reporting.

• Collaborate with the Business as a trusted partner for Marketing and commercial teams, defining and maintaining key metrics (CAC, ROAS, conversion funnels, etc.).

• Generate insights that have a direct impact on business decisions.


⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, BI, or Data Engineering.

• Advanced SQL proficiency, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and optimization techniques.

• Strong familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or comparable alternatives.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining data models and pipelines.

• Demonstrated ownership of production reporting and data quality.

• Ability to effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Nice to Have: Experience with AWS stack (S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, etc.).

• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or modern ELT frameworks.

• Experience in marketing analytics, including metrics like CAC, ROAS, LTV, funnels, and retention.
