Senior Data Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Organize, gather, and process extensive datasets utilizing ETL tools.

• Convert the client’s business goals into a strategy for information management and business intelligence.

• Oversee data pipelines and guarantee secure access to information.

• Develop and present metrics and dashboards based on the gathered data, ensuring quality and integrity.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at modernizing the data platform, emphasizing Lakehouse architecture, governance, quality, and preparing data for analytical and AI usage.

• Create dimensional models for business teams, dashboards, and reports.

• Engage throughout the entire data lifecycle: ingestion, processing, storage, transformation, consumption, and governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level expertise in Data and AWS.

• Proficient in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL tools) using Python/PySpark.

• Familiarity with AWS Glue, EMR, Athena, SNS, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Lake Formation, IAM, and CloudWatch.

• Understanding of NoSQL databases and data modeling, including MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Hadoop.

• Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture with Apache Iceberg, including management of analytical tables, versioning, schema evolution, partitioning, and performance optimization.

• Experience with query engines for large-scale data such as Athena, Trino, Presto, or Spark SQL.

• Ability to enhance queries and handle Parquet and ORC columnar formats.

• Familiarity with dimensional modeling, including fact and dimension tables, granularity, keys, hierarchies, metrics, and indicators.

• Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

• Proven experience in executing unit and performance tests.

• Knowledge of security best practices, access control, and cloud monitoring.

• Preferred qualifications include AWS Cloud Practitioner and AWS Data Engineer certifications; experience in data quality and observability; Terraform; knowledge of Data Mesh; and understanding of AI applications in data.
