Senior Data Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Organize, gather, and process extensive amounts of data utilizing ETL tools.

• Convert clients’ business goals into effective information management and business intelligence strategies.

• Oversee data pipelines and guarantee secure access to information.

• Develop and release metrics and dashboards based on the gathered data, ensuring quality and accuracy.

• Participate in data platform modernization projects, emphasizing Lakehouse architecture, governance, quality, and readiness for analytics and AI applications.

• Create dimensional models for use by business teams, dashboards, and reports.

• Engage with the entire data lifecycle: ingestion, processing, storage, transformation, consumption, and governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level expertise in Data/AWS.

• Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and loading using ETL tools, Python, and PySpark.

• Familiarity with AWS Glue, EMR, Athena, SNS, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Lake Formation, IAM, and CloudWatch.

• Understanding of NoSQL modeling and databases, including MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Hadoop.

• Experience with Lakehouse architecture utilizing Apache Iceberg.

• Proficient with query engines for handling large data sets, such as Athena, Trino, Presto, or Spark SQL.

• Acquainted with the Parquet and ORC columnar formats.

• Knowledgeable in dimensional modeling.

• Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

• Proven experience in conducting unit and performance testing.

• Awareness of cloud security best practices, access control, and monitoring.

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Certified Data Engineer certifications are advantageous.

• Experience in data quality and observability is beneficial.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform and CloudWatch, is a plus.

• Understanding of Data Mesh is an advantage.

• Knowledge of AI applications in data is a plus.
