Senior Data Analyst – Governance, Data Visualization, Monitoring

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure the stability of the Microsoft Fabric environment.

• Monitor and enhance the performance of the Microsoft Fabric environment.

• Identify reports, models, and processes that consume high resources.

• Collaborate with the responsible teams to diagnose root causes.

• Provide guidance on best practices to ensure the efficiency, stability, and governance of the analytics platform.

• Daily monitoring of Fabric Capacity Metrics/FUAM to prevent and mitigate throttling and performance issues.

• Investigate reports and semantic models that are slow or resource-intensive.

• Conduct reverse engineering to optimize DAX and data structures.

• Manage the data lifecycle utilizing DevOps, Git, and Deployment Pipelines.

• Conduct audits of access and security (RLS/OLS).

• Organize workspace topology.

• Collaborate with report developers from various departments to diagnose performance issues, recommend best practices, and negotiate refresh windows.

• Support architectural decisions regarding Lakehouse, Warehouse, and semantic models in Direct Lake.

• Integrate with the existing data ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with Power BI/Fabric, particularly in administration and support of Premium or Fabric environments.

• Essential experience with tuning tools such as DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and the use of Performance Analyzer.

• Practical expertise in optimizing DAX.

• Strong understanding of Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema) and data architecture.

• Experience with version control systems (Git).

• Familiarity with release flows (Deployment Pipelines).

• Experience utilizing Power BI REST APIs for governance automation.

• Preferred: prior experience with integrations involving Azure Data Lake Gen2 and Azure Databricks.

• Consultative and diplomatic demeanor for interactions with executives and business units.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis independently.

• Ownership mentality and proactive approach to actively monitor logs and foresee incidents.
