Senior Data Analyst – Business Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend objectives, pinpoint reporting and analytics requirements, convert these needs into effective data solutions, and assist in transforming insights into actionable strategies.

• Create, develop, sustain, and enhance dashboards and reports in Sigma, providing clear and actionable insights to business leaders and operational teams.

• Utilize SQL to query, transform, validate, and analyze data from various sources, including Snowflake.

• Examine large and intricate datasets to discover trends, performance drivers, opportunities, and potential areas of concern.

• Establish and advocate for best practices concerning reporting, data governance, metric definitions, documentation, and data integrity.

• Optimize and scale existing BI assets and reporting processes through simplification, standardization, and automation.

• Collaborate with data and technology teams on data modeling, warehouse development, and enhancements to the Snowflake environment.

• Assess analytics tools, processes, and capabilities, recommending improvements that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the BI function.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a similar role.

• Strong expertise in SQL, with experience in querying and analyzing large datasets.

• Experience in developing advanced dashboards and reporting solutions using Sigma or a similar modern BI platform.

• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses; Snowflake is highly preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating business questions into meaningful analyses and actionable insights.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts and data findings to non-technical audiences.

• Proven capability to gather requirements, manage competing priorities, and independently drive analytics initiatives from conception to delivery.

• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and visualization best practices is preferred.
