Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Finance and Payments teams to create, enhance, and sustain metrics, models, and dashboards for financial reporting.

• Take ownership of the complete analysis process, from grasping business questions to executing SQL/dbt modeling, developing Looker dashboards, and conveying insights.

• Design and improve Looker dashboards for financial planning, revenue analysis, cost insights, and transaction-level reporting.

• Maintain and update core financial data models in dbt.

• Investigate data quality issues and verify calculations.

• Ensure reliable and reconciled datasets for Finance and Payments.

• Convert unclear business requirements into precise technical solutions.

• Implement best practices in data modeling, documentation, QA, and performance optimization.

• Work together with Product, Support, and Marketing teams when financial data intersects with their operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or BI Analyst in a dynamic or intricate product setting.

• Proficient hands-on experience with SQL, dbt, and Looker.

• Capability to write complex queries, model data, and create insightful dashboards.

• Strong communication skills to convey technical topics and financial principles to non-technical audiences.

• Ability to take initiative and ownership, work autonomously, and lead projects from inception to completion.

• Meticulous attention to detail, particularly concerning reconciliation, financial logic, metric definitions, and quality assurance.

• Experience collaborating with Finance stakeholders, such as FP&A, Accounting, Payments, or Revenue Operations.

• Familiarity with GitHub/version control.

• Must currently reside in Canada.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
