Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Convert business requirements into scalable data models while uncovering actionable insights.

• Take ownership of ambiguous data initiatives from start to finish, ensuring clear deliverables.

• Create and automate dashboards, models, and reporting systems.

• Develop and sustain data products that support Revenue Accounting, including revenue recognition logic within financial data models.

• Employ compliance-first design principles to facilitate SOX compliance, audit readiness, and data governance.

• Establish validation, monitoring, and reconciliation frameworks for financial datasets.

• Discover opportunities for optimizing processes, enhancing automation, and improving systems within Finance and Accounting.

• Leverage AI technologies and Python ML libraries to advance financial data modeling, automation, workflows, and analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• Over 5 years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering roles.

• Proficiency in SQL and foundational knowledge of cloud data.

• Practical experience with Snowflake, dbt, and BI tools (such as Mode, Looker, Tableau, etc.).

• Experience in building and supporting complex data pipelines with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and traceability.

• Understanding of financial data structures, accounting processes, and enterprise systems including Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, and Adaptive.

• Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Experience in public companies with knowledge of SOX compliance.

• Background in rapidly growing technology environments.

• Experience in implementing large-scale financial or operational systems.

• Proven ability to assist Finance and Accounting teams with scalable data solutions.

• Experience in cloud cost management, preferably within an AWS environment.

• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in data analytics.

• Project management experience is an advantage.
