Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +40 more states.

📋 Description

• Convert business requirements into scalable data models and extract insights for measurable outcomes.

• Take full ownership of ambiguous data initiatives from start to finish, defining projects and deliverables.

• Create and automate dashboards, models, and reporting systems.

• Develop and maintain data products that support Revenue Accounting, including the revenue recognition logic within financial data models.

• Employ compliance-first design principles that uphold SOX, audit preparedness, and data governance.

• Establish validation, monitoring, and reconciliation frameworks for financial datasets.

• Recognize opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements within Finance and Accounting.

• Utilize AI technologies such as Claude, Cursor, Python ML libraries, and Copilot to enhance financial analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• Over 5 years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering roles.

• Proficient in SQL and cloud data fundamentals.

• Practical experience with Snowflake, dbt, and business intelligence tools such as Mode, Looker, or Tableau.

• Experienced in building and maintaining complex data pipelines with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and traceability.

• Knowledgeable about financial data structures, accounting processes, and enterprise systems like Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, or Adaptive.

• Excellent communication skills that bridge technical and non-technical teams.

• Preferred: experience in a public company with SOX compliance.

• Preferred: experience in a high-growth technology environment.

• Preferred: experience with large-scale financial or operational systems implementation.

• Project management experience is a plus.

• Preferred: experience in supporting Finance and Accounting teams with scalable data solutions.

• Preferred: experience in cloud cost management, ideally within AWS.

• Preferred: familiarity with AI/ML applications in data analytics.
