
Senior Cybersecurity Advisor – Identity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Act as a reliable partner for Optiv’s clients.
• Create practical security solutions for Identity Governance, Digital Access Management (MFA/SSO), Privileged Access Management, and Identity Orchestration.
• Engage in the Identity Field Center of Excellence and ensure alignment of Optiv services with technology partner solutions, including SailPoint, Saviynt, Ping, Okta, Cisco, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, and Delinea.
• Maintain a deep understanding of client security environments, business operations, security requirements, and risk tolerance.
• Recognize cross-sell and upsell opportunities, qualify leads, manage proposals, and oversee opportunities until closure.
• Clearly communicate how Optiv’s technology and services portfolio addresses client needs at the senior leadership level.
• Propel services and technologies business to achieve or surpass quota objectives.
• Monitor industry trends and provide thought leadership, support, analysis, and guidance.
• Collaborate with service delivery teams to create specialized domain materials.
• Formulate security strategies and roadmaps that align with business objectives, budget, metrics, and ROI.
• Maintain advisory relationships with client stakeholders alongside sales partners.
• Drive comprehensive security programs through networking, requirements gathering, technology selection, demonstrations, evaluations, and cross-organizational solutions.
• Partner with internal Optiv teams to synchronize client expectations and ensure service delivery excellence and satisfaction.
• Identify emerging technologies for internal utilization and client exposure.
• Advocate for Optiv’s portfolio and promote security awareness at speaking engagements, partner events, and via social media.
• Relay client feedback to internal teams to foster continuous improvement.
• Engage in account planning, forecasting, pipeline management, proposal management, contract creation, and RFI/RFP responses.
• Commit to personal development through education, certification, and other pathways.
• Enhance sales techniques and assist in closing sales.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• At least eight (8) years in an information security role, ideally as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer with a focus on Identity Governance, Digital Access Management (MFA/SSO), Privileged Access Management, and Identity Orchestration.
• Strong business and technical knowledge.
• Capability to lead discussions centered on technology.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in whiteboard sessions and other presentation formats.
• High attention to detail for reviewing statements of work (SOWs), quotes, and client deliverables.
• Extensive security-related knowledge with a commitment to expanding expertise across different portfolio domains.
• Vendor-specific certifications primarily focused on specialties.
• Relevant professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM, CCSP or similar.
• Experience in presenting and promoting technology vision at events.
• Previous experience in leading an information security function or program.
• Membership in and active participation in organizational chapters like ISACA, ISSA, etc.
