Senior CPA Technical Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and evaluate the accounting implications of new or infrequent significant transactions that could materially affect the Company's financial statements.

• Document findings in comprehensive technical accounting memos, which will be reviewed by the Head of Financial Reporting and SOX PMO.

• Monitor and evaluate new and emerging accounting pronouncements (ASUs) and SEC guidelines.

• Maintain the Company's accounting policies and spearhead the implementation of major changes.

• Subscribe to and utilize Big 4 accounting research tools and training resources.

• Prepare technical accounting analyses and memos related to revenue, stock-based compensation, leases, EPS, debt, equity, investments, and various other areas.

• Act as the technical accounting reviewer/approver for the creation and maintenance of the Chart of Accounts.

• Ensure that account mappings and financial statement alignments are precise and comply with internal standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.

• Active CPA certification.

• Over 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial Big 4 public accounting experience.

• In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting obligations.

• Proficient in researching technical accounting issues and drafting clear, well-supported position papers/memos.

• Experience in technical accounting areas such as stock-based compensation, leases, revenue, debt, and business combinations.

• Background in technical accounting or national office experience.

• Experience in the Fintech or SaaS industry.

• Practical experience with NetSuite and/or Oracle and Workiva.

• Advanced skills in Excel.
