This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with strategy, engineering, product management, communications, and legal teams to identify and address legal issues and risks throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Offer pragmatic and strategic insights as product areas evolve.
• Provide guidance on matters related to privacy, digital advertising, AI, intellectual property/copyright, content acquisition, and data usage.
• Draft, review, and negotiate intricate strategic product partnerships and commercial agreements.
• Convert complex legal frameworks into practical and actionable guidance.
• Monitor and interpret GDPR, CCPA, FTC regulations, and other pertinent laws and regulations.
• Assist teams in implementing compliant processes.
• Establish trusted relationships with senior leaders and influence Pinterest’s strategic direction.
• Create scalable legal processes, automation, and AI-driven solutions.
• Juris Doctorate.
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced and innovative legal environment.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of in-house experience at a technology company.
• Experience in advising on digital advertising/ad tech or core consumer product legal matters.
• Required: a background in privacy, including knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, FTC regulations, and related requirements.
• Proven experience in leading negotiations for significant technology and commercial agreements.
• Exceptional judgment and unwavering integrity.
• Strong communication and client-service skills.
• Capability to foster collaborative relationships across product, engineering, and business teams.
• Strategic mindset and a history of developing creative, pragmatic solutions.
• Ability to swiftly acquire knowledge in new legal areas and technical product domains.
• Strong project management abilities.
• AI-oriented mindset with experience utilizing AI tools.
• Bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
