This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Manage complex, high-stakes litigation cases, encompassing trucking and motor vehicle incidents, premises liability, surgical and medical-related issues, as well as other intricate liability matters.
• Create persuasive case narratives.
• Conduct court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials independently.
• Oversee comprehensive case responsibilities, including discovery and preparation for trial.
• Collaborate closely with Holly Howanitz and Stefani Cogsdale on case strategy, motion practices, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and trial proceedings.
• Maintain regular communication with clients.
• Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Offer guidance and leadership to junior attorneys.
• Work together with attorneys of varying experience levels.
• Take responsibility for cases while working autonomously, receiving mentorship and constructive feedback.
• A valid Florida Bar license is mandatory.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Must hold a license in your respective state.
• At least 8 years of robust litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Capability to manage comprehensive case responsibilities, including all aspects of discovery and trial.
• Preferred experience with insurance defense cases.
• Familiarity with time management systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to think independently and act with minimal oversight.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong skills in legal writing, substantive motion practice, and discovery.
• Trial experience is highly regarded.
• Law Review participation or demonstrated outstanding legal research and writing skills is especially desirable.
• Annual bonus for billable hours starting at $10,000, with an additional $7,500 for each subsequent tier.
