This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Offer strategic, risk-aware, and business-oriented guidance to internal stakeholders on a diverse array of intricate contracts, including equipment and project sale agreements, operation and maintenance contracts, development services agreements, EPC Agreements, financed offerings, and various related agreements.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to design and enhance contract forms, templates, and playbooks, as well as scalable processes to support these resources.
• Partner extensively with Sales, Finance, Project Delivery, Operations, and other teams to ensure the effective execution of high-stakes commercial agreements.
• Lead comprehensive contract negotiations for various commercial agreements with customers in the commercial and industrial sectors, data centers, government entities, and utilities, balancing legal safeguards with business agility.
• Create and present training sessions and materials to enhance the organization's legal understanding of contract terms and other legal matters.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice in the U.S.
• At least 8 years of transactional experience, ideally a blend of global law firm and/or in-house legal department experience, with expertise in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with contract management systems and a commitment to optimizing legal technology stacks and workflows.
• Executive Presence: Proven ability to serve as a trusted business partner to senior leadership.
• Domain Expertise: Thorough comprehension of intricate capital purchase and financed commercial transactions, operation and maintenance agreements, along with a solid understanding of the interconnections between deal contracts.
