This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership regarding compliance risks and strategies for mitigation.
• Oversee, interpret, and provide guidance on relevant regional laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Provide advice and negotiate compliance terms in commercial agreements.
• Address customer inquiries related to Cisco’s Ethics & Compliance program and its commitments.
• Supervise regional remediation efforts following investigations.
• Develop and deliver regional Ethics & Compliance training—both virtual and in-person.
• Function as a regional escalation point for high-risk findings in Partner and Supplier due diligence.
• Facilitate quarterly regional Ethics & Compliance roundtables with control functions and regional business leaders.
• Manage and provide guidance on escalations related to Conflict of Interest (COI), Gifts, Travel and Entertainment (GTE), and Third-Party Due Diligence.
• Create and lead regional initiatives with key external business partners.
• Collaborate with Investigations on policy enforcement matters as needed or requested.
• Juris Doctor (JD) or an equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• 8-12 years of pertinent experience in ethics and compliance, corporate law, or a related area, ideally in the technology sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory framework in the EMEA region.
• Demonstrated experience in advising senior leadership on compliance issues.
• Strong grasp of compliance program development, execution, and training.
• Excellent negotiation and contract evaluation abilities.
• Experience in due diligence processes and handling escalations.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, global setting.
