This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Prepare, assess, and negotiate a diverse array of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, customer agreements, SaaS and technology licensing, as well as procurement agreements.
• Provide guidance to internal business teams regarding contractual obligations, risk management, and compliance associated with commercial transactions.
• Spearhead B2B negotiations to secure advantageous terms while fostering robust business relationships.
• Work collaboratively across functions such as sales, compliance, risk management, procurement, finance, and operations to achieve business goals.
• Offer legal assistance for contract lifecycle management, covering amendments, renewals, and dispute resolution.
• Remain informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices that affect commercial transactions.
• Integrate with the business to comprehend the objectives of the business unit(s) and the key factors influencing profitability.
• Recognize potential legal risks and/or implications for existing businesses, new initiatives, and products, as necessary.
• A Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active license in good standing.
• At least 6 years of experience in a law firm or corporate setting providing legal advice on general business and contractual matters, preferably in technology, insurance, or extended service contracts.
• Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills for intricate commercial agreements.
• Highly independent and self-driven work ethic, demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency.
• Capability to comprehend business strategy and fundamental financial aspects of business ventures.
• Strong knowledge of B2B agreements, risk assessment, and business operations.
• Proficient in quickly assessing complex legal and regulatory issues and advising on suitable and defensible courses of action.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
