This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Plan, direct, and oversee sales initiatives while providing support for sales training related to the Medtronic CoreValve System and future catheter-based therapy technologies.
• Create and execute a strategy aimed at fostering sustainable business partnerships and promoting therapy growth, which includes meeting revenue goals and ensuring profitability while safely advancing the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) initiative.
• Oversee the complete hiring and onboarding process for sales representatives and clinical specialists.
• Guide team development, implement retention strategies, and work collaboratively with local Medtronic sales and leadership teams in the cardiovascular group (CVG).
• Ensure the district’s field team is adequately credentialed across all hospitals for vendor compliance.
• Manage district structure and organizational planning; identify suitable accounts and determine the order of rollout in alignment with territory and compensation considerations.
• Handle individual territory customer interactions while integrating new talent.
• Record formal field travel within the district, ensuring proper follow-up and quarterly reports for representatives and clinical staff.
• Provide continuous coaching and constructive feedback to Sales and Clinical teams through field visits, observations, and performance measurements.
• Set quota plans for each territory in the region; confirm that strategies are in place to meet and exceed these plans.
• Ensure that all sales and marketing initiatives are effectively communicated, implemented, and coordinated.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 7 years of experience in medical sales.
• More than 5 years of experience managing medical sales representatives.
• Previous management experience within Medtronic CVG is preferred.
• Preference for sales experience in Surgical, Cardiac OR, Cath Lab, or Electrophysiology (EP).
• At least 5 years of leadership or management experience in Interventional Cardiology, Endovascular, Cardiac Surgery, or EP Interventional Cardiology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Science.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Experience with product launches.
• Background in selling to C-suite executives.
• Familiarity with working in a matrix organization and collaborating at various levels.
• Previous market development experience.
• Proven track record of successful sales.
• Experience in managing Key Opinion Leaders (KOL).
• Background in building and maintaining effective sales teams.
• Experience balancing company profitability with customer objectives.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time or more and reside near a major airport.
• Previous experience in sales training or clinical education training.
• Ability to establish strong relationships with key therapy users and internal stakeholders across various functions and levels.
