Senior Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee all essential accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end close processes, and financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.

• Prepare and evaluate quarterly and annual financial statements, Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), and continuous disclosure documents.

• Take full ownership of the external audit process from initiation to completion.

• Develop and uphold robust internal controls.

• Manage accounting across multiple entities and handle intracompany eliminations.

• Lead, mentor, and enhance the accounting team's capabilities.

• Leverage data analytics and financial modeling to extract valuable insights.

• Recognize and implement opportunities to optimize and expand financial processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA designation is required.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

• Extensive knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP principles.

• Proven experience in managing month-end closes, audits, financial reporting, and internal controls in a dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with multi-entity structures and intracompany accounting practices.

• Strong attention to detail coupled with a controls-oriented approach.

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.

• An interest in AI and financial automation along with a solid technical proficiency.
