Financial Controller – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for the General Ledger (GL), guaranteeing its precision, integrity, and compliance.

• Oversee and manage the Chart of Accounts.

• Drive the shift from outsourced accounting to an internal accounting framework.

• Manage monthly closing processes, reconciliations, and ensure financial accuracy.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.

• Analyze Profit & Loss statements and assess financial performance across various business units.

• Ensure accurate and prompt reporting for executive leadership.

• Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations.

• Review invoices, payroll, expense reports, and vendor payments.

• Provide guidance and oversight to the bookkeeping team.

• Monitor cash flow and conduct bank reconciliations.

• Coordinate payroll tax, sales tax, and year-end tax reporting activities.

• Ensure that accounting practices adhere to company policies and financial controls.

• Maintain the utmost confidentiality when managing financial records and sensitive company information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Accountant with full accountability for the General Ledger (GL).

• Extensive experience managing month-end closing and financial reporting.

• Practical experience with QuickBooks.

• Experience in supervising accounting or bookkeeping teams.

• Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial controls.

• High level of integrity with the capability to handle highly confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

• Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2) with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
