This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete contract lifecycle, encompassing intake and triage, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, filing, renewing, and terminating contracts.
• Prioritize and manage the queue of contracting and legal requests based on urgency and importance.
• Evaluate, redline, and negotiate contracts while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Manage both sell-side and buy-side contracting across various business sectors.
• Oversee confidentiality agreements, service agreements, statements of work, business associate agreements, data protection agreements, independent contractor agreements, software licenses, and SaaS contracts.
• Direct documents for review of deviations, approvals, and signatures.
• Handle contract expirations and work collaboratively with Business Development, Account Management, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain contracts using CLM or other repository systems.
• Assist in maintaining templates, developing playbooks, and building a clause library.
• Support corporate filings, registrations of governmental entities, and business licensing.
• Coordinate and prepare responses for document production subpoenas.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders and business partners on best practices in contracting, internal standards, and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with Operations and Medical Records teams regarding medical record requests.
• Facilitate cross-functional objectives and departmental operations in the absence of the leader.
• Execute additional tasks assigned by the leader to ensure the efficient operation of WorkCare.
• A BA/BS degree is required, ideally in Paralegal/Legal Studies, Law, or Business with a focus on Law.
• A Juris Doctor is preferred but not mandatory.
• A minimum of six years of contracting experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Notary certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Prior experience in the healthcare sector or another regulated industry is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of contract structures, legal terminology, and legal concepts.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in cross-functional communication and collaboration with sales, account management, internal partners, and operational teams.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and urgency.
• Ability to articulate legal concepts and guide stakeholders on best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Intermediate understanding of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
• Commitment to providing outstanding service to both internal and external customers.
• Professional demeanor with the capacity to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
• Capability to meet and surpass daily and weekly individual performance targets.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate or assist when necessary.
• Proficient in the Windows operating system environment.
• Competent in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Skilled in Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe Sign.
• Experience with contract management systems.
• Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.
• Willingness to learn other software as required.
