This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare and manage contracts for customers, sites, and vendors.
• Direct the pricing, planning, execution, and oversight of investigator grants.
• Formulate negotiation strategies while identifying and addressing contract risks.
• Draft, assess, and negotiate master governing agreements independently.
• Refer complex contractual risks to management or the legal department.
• Oversee moderate to complex projects and handle associated issues.
• Conduct thorough analyses to support budget and contract negotiations.
• Train and guide team members within the contracts department.
• Create and evaluate Clinical Trial Agreements utilizing standard templates.
• Ensure timely execution of CTAs to align with study start-up schedules.
• Collaborate with legal departments regarding modifications in CTA content.
• Take part in study kick-off meetings.
• Formulate estimates for investigator grants and contracting strategies.
• Develop and review confidentiality agreements, Work Orders, Change Orders, and various contracts.
• Produce, publish, and assess clinical, technical, and administrative documentation.
• Oversee the inventory of contracts and manage commercial contracts.
• Maintain updated statuses for contracts and budgets.
• Work in partnership with management, staff, customers, sites, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure contracts are executed and stored centrally in accordance with corporate policies.
• Lead preparations and discussions for customer/site meetings.
• Generate both standard and custom reports.
• Reconcile discrepancies between documents and databases.
• Support audits by providing accurate contract and budget documentation.
• Uphold confidentiality regarding company information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is required, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or a comparable combination of education and related experience.
• At least five years of experience in contract and budget management within the clinical research sector.
• A minimum of one year in developing grant budgets for clinical trials or three years of related experience.
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of contract principles and procedures.
• Capability to comprehend, review, and research complex contract documents while guiding junior analysts.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong skills in building interpersonal relations and stakeholder connections.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage responsibilities, respond to inquiries, and collaborate effectively.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills for managing multiple concurrent complex projects.
• Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment and adjust to changing priorities.
• Strong negotiation skills with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical trial agreements, budgets, regulatory considerations, and compliance requirements, including ICH GCP, FDA, and GDPR.
• Ability to interpret clinical trial protocols and convert them into budget requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Basic proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Intermediate proficiency with Salesforce and SharePoint.
• Capability to meet the specified physical requirements, including extended periods of computer work and occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds.
• Remote position available based on the incumbent’s home location.
• Minimal travel, not exceeding 10% annually, may be necessary.
