This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and cultivate stories for a long-form video platform.
• Establish and sustain a pipeline of story ideas while promoting their significance for channel and brand expansion.
• Conduct thorough pre-interviews and extensive research on subjects.
• Organize productions, recruit crews, collaborate with producers, formulate scopes, schedule around tides and fishing seasons, direct in the field, oversee edits, and ensure timely delivery.
• Develop the long-form channel and disseminate content across short-form platforms.
• Curate the content schedule and manage series structure, release frequency, thumbnails, and YouTube titles.
• Supervise a Social Media Manager and take responsibility for channel growth and brand representation.
• Lead an Editorial Content Producer and Social Media Manager through effective guidance, support, performance reviews, and professional development.
• Drive ideation and creative assessment for long-form video and paid advertisement content.
• Utilize performance data to enhance creative strategies for conversion and engagement channels.
• Produce appealing and practical seafood culinary content alongside culinary experts.
• Safeguard and uphold the integrity of the Wild Alaskan brand.
• Report directly to the VP of Creative and Brand.
• 7+ years of experience in content creation, documentary filmmaking, or brand film production.
• Proven experience analyzing creative data related to organic and paid social media channels.
• A portfolio featuring at least one deeply character-driven project that you developed independently from concept to delivery.
• Demonstrated experience in management with actual direct reports, performance reviews, and fostering growth.
• Strong familiarity with both outdoor and culinary domains.
• In-depth knowledge of long-form platform mechanics such as YouTube, including viewership metrics and launch strategies.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently; anticipate approximately 30% travel, predominantly during the summer months.
• Comprehensive understanding of the production process, including research and development, budgeting, crew management, camera work, audio, post-production, color correction, sound design, and final delivery.
• Submission of a required reel or links to three completed projects highlighting your contributions.
• One-page response to a story-development application.
• Three application pitches: one focused on character development, one on culinary themes, and one of the applicant's choosing.
