This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the development of projects and strategic initiatives, encompassing market, technology, and policy evaluations.
• Spearhead and contribute to economic analyses, cost assessments, risk evaluations, and contracting approaches for projects.
• Provide or oversee technical due diligence and owner's engineering evaluations for energy and power projects.
• Offer client program and project management assistance, enhancing governance, business processes, controls, and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with Sargent & Lundy technical teams to create conceptual plans.
• Develop and deliver project implementation strategies and plans to client executives and project teams.
• Convert intricate technical findings into presentations and written reports suitable for clients.
• Lead specific workstreams within broader client engagements.
• Oversee daily activities of junior team members and evaluate their work outputs.
• Participate in business development, proposal writing, and building client relationships.
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, public policy, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in the energy/power sector, with a minimum of three years in consulting or advisory positions.
• Previous experience in management consulting or advisory roles involving direct client interaction and responsibility for analytical deliverables.
• Familiarity with electric or gas utilities, independent power producers, project developers, grid operators, or energy investors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including working with quantitative models, extensive data sets, and financial or economic analyses.
• Proficient in creating clear, well-structured Excel models, PowerPoint presentations, and written documentation.
• Capable of articulating complex subjects to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in client meetings, workshops, or presentations, engaging directly with client stakeholders.
• Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and deadlines in a dynamic, project-driven consulting atmosphere.
• High degree of initiative, ownership, and accountability, with a history of delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
• Preferred but not mandatory: experience in technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design evaluations for power projects.
• Preferred but not mandatory: knowledge of power station operations and performance.
• Preferred but not mandatory: understanding of electric utility business models, planning processes, and operations.
