Senior Consultant, Source Code Review

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough source code evaluations across intricate codebases, including firmware, device drivers, and kernel-level C/C++.

• Analyze and interpret RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) along with hardware schematics to correlate power rails, clocking, and interfaces with software execution.

• Examine and document code modules, logic, and hardware interactions that correspond with specific patent claim elements and theories of infringement.

• Create high-quality, litigation-level technical documentation, reports, and declarations for expert witnesses.

• Collaborate effectively with expert witness teams to enhance theories of infringement and non-infringement based on investigative findings.

• Convert intricate technical discoveries into straightforward, defensible legal insights for attorneys and IP stakeholders.

• Operate independently in secure "clean room" settings, adhering to confidentiality and security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–4+ years of hands-on experience reviewing source code in patent litigation or contentious legal scenarios.

• Demonstrated experience serving as the Primary Code Reviewer for a minimum of two cases related to processor architecture or CPU/SoC matters.

• In-depth knowledge of CPU microarchitecture and SoC subsystems (memory, buses, peripherals, etc.).

• Advanced proficiency in C/C++ for firmware, drivers, and kernel-level development.

• Strong expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog (RTL) and comfort with hardware collateral.

• Capability to interpret schematics and hardware documentation to validate and support code-based theories.

• Proven technical writing skills for legal documentation.

• Legal status: Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
