Senior Consultant – Property Claims, Infrastructure, Data, Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, provision, and maintain Azure resources such as ADLS Gen2, Event Hub, Function Apps, networking components, and Azure SQL Managed Instance.

• Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code utilizing Terraform and Env0.

• Facilitate GitHub-based CI/CD integration for infrastructure and application deployment.

• Construct and maintain solutions across Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, OneLake, Pipelines, and Real-Time Analytics.

• Enable secure vendor integrations utilizing SFTP and API-based patterns.

• Provide support for Linux-based engineering environments and operational workloads.

• Create Python-based ETL processes and automation solutions.

• Oversee and support Airflow orchestration for data pipeline execution.

• Integrate with platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS S3, ADLS, and OneLake.

• Facilitate secure SFTP and PGP-encrypted data exchanges.

• Deliver real-time operational insights and automated reporting capabilities.

• Assist in predictive modeling and advanced analytics initiatives.

• Contribute to the modernization of data platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to provide comprehensive engineering solutions.

• No supervisory responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Python, especially in data engineering, ETL, and automation applications.

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, focusing on query development and data modeling.

• Familiarity with Oracle databases is required.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Event Hub and ADLS storage.

• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.

• Background in designing, building, or supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Experience aiding external vendor integrations.

• Familiarity with SFTP integration and secure file-transfer methods.

• Knowledge of API-based vendor or system integrations.

• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises engineering.

• Experience in cross-platform data movement across cloud storage, databases, and analytics platforms.

• Required background investigation.

• Must possess reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

• Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, equipped with appropriate desk and seating.
