Senior Consultant – Packaging Sustainability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Simultaneously oversee multiple projects that often involve various clients, industries, and subjects.

• Manage project plans while maintaining strong client relationships.

• Ensure timely delivery of tasks and projects within budget constraints.

• Conduct project-related research, gather and analyze data, and engage with diverse stakeholders.

• Prepare reports and presentations that effectively communicate key messages and guide strategic decision-making.

• Execute data analysis to identify discrepancies and develop sound approaches and assumptions to address them.

• Perform landscape reviews, including research on competitors’ sustainability objectives and strategies, sustainable packaging regulations, etc.

• Conduct quantitative modeling to establish a client’s packaging baseline and prepare for EPR reporting.

• Foster expertise through mentoring and training initiatives.

• Assist in business development efforts with both new and existing clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience (packaging engineering or an equivalent field is essential).

• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Familiarity with the technical attributes and applications of packaging materials.

• Knowledge of US and Global EPR regulations is advantageous.

• Understanding of Life Cycle Assessments for different packaging materials, formats, and usage scenarios.

• Advanced analytical capabilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, NetSuite, and PowerBI is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong project management skills to ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and client expectations.

• Effective time management skills, with the ability to adhere to deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.

• High level of organization and meticulous attention to detail.

• Demonstrated client management and business development expertise.

• Capacity to work independently with virtual teams across various time zones.
