Senior Consultant, Data Analyst / Visualization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Gather, cleanse, validate, and analyze data from various sources.

• Create and manage dashboards, reports, and data visualizations utilizing Power BI, Tableau, and other similar tools.

• Design and implement workflow applications and automated processes via the Microsoft Power Platform, which includes Power Apps and Power Automate.

• Discover opportunities to enhance manual processes through automation.

• Convert business requirements into analytical, reporting, and workflow specifications.

• Test, troubleshoot, document, and sustain dashboards, applications, and automated workflows.

• Recognize trends, patterns, anomalies, and data quality concerns.

• Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional project teams.

• Assist in high-visibility initiatives that shape programs, policies, and performance-related decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be capable of OBTAINING and MAINTAINING a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates need to secure approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST before onboarding with Guidehouse.

• US Citizenship is contractually mandated.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of THREE (3)+ years of professional experience.

• Proficient in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, data visualization, automation, or application development.

• Experience in developing dashboards or visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

• Proven experience in creating workflow applications and automations utilizing Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.

• Ability to work effectively in a client-facing consulting environment.

• Proficient with SQL, Excel, Power Query, or other data preparation tools.

• Knowledgeable in data preparation, validation, analysis, visualization, and workflow design.

• Capability to transform business requirements into dashboards, applications, or automated workflows.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Experience in developing interactive dashboards and performance reports.

• Familiar with financial, operational, infrastructure, or performance-related data.

• Background in supporting public-sector organizations.

• Familiarity with data quality assessments and repeatable reporting processes.

• Experience in an Agile or iterative delivery setting.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
