This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for construction policies, vendor partnerships, accountability, training, and employee development, as well as subcontractor and supplier relationships.
• Oversee project predictability and profitability on a group level.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Construction Management to implement best practices, policies, and tools in construction management.
• Travel as necessary to support various projects and initiatives.
• Direct the daily operations of construction projects.
• Offer guidance and leadership for projects including new builds, remodels, and renovations, ensuring that they meet or surpass company standards.
• Organize and lead cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, operations, IT/Network, and finance, to facilitate the adoption of construction management best practices.
• Manage as many as 25+ external vendors per project, including General Contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, and equipment suppliers.
• Implement company and departmental processes and best management practices within designated responsibilities.
• Ensure effective contract administration, including the generation, review, management, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other necessary documents.
• Ensure that internal controls are established and maintained at each stage of the process.
• Inspect ongoing work to verify that it meets or exceeds quality, specifications, and scheduling requirements.
• Foster strong working relationships with both internal and external team members, including staff, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and other industry professionals.
• Pursue self-improvement through training, professional development, and career advancement opportunities.
• Provide expertise in relevant areas of responsibility.
• Report status updates, successes, challenges, and action plans to the management team and company in a timely manner.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in successfully managing commercial construction projects or programs.
• Strong working knowledge of building construction and project management processes at a national scale.
• Extensive experience in the design of data centers across various regions in North America.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficient in CPM scheduling methods, construction cost estimating, proposal generation and development, document management, and contract administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and other relevant industry software applications.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, written and verbal presentation, and team-building skills demonstrated across various international regions.
• Proven success in building and leading teams of construction professionals at different levels of experience across multiple international regions.
• Excellent leadership and management capabilities, with strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills as demonstrated in various international contexts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with teams on projects in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
