Senior Compensation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the development, administration, and upkeep of compensation programs

• Collaborate with the business to facilitate the attraction and retention of talent

• Assess requests to establish fair and suitable titles, salary ranges, pay rates, exemption assignments, and benefit levels

• Oversee projects related to strategic initiatives in compensation

• Work effectively alongside other HR team members

• Establish consistent compensation guidelines and programs that align with our compensation philosophy

• Analyze and offer recommendations for new hire offers, promotions, and internal transfers

• Engage in and conduct salary surveys, including analyzing survey data and maintaining the salary survey database

• Ensure that compensation practices adhere to current federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations

• Act as a resource for hiring managers regarding compensation-related inquiries

⛳️ Requirements

• 4 years of experience in Human Resources

• Experience with job analysis, evaluation, and wage grade structure design is essential

• Familiarity with compensation research and data analysis in relation to compliance requirements is required

• Experience in benefit administration is necessary

• A BS/BA degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field is required

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is preferred and encouraged

• In-depth knowledge and practical understanding of human resources functions and both state and federal employment regulations

• Demonstrated experience with Workday and Payfactors is essential
