This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Delivering comprehensive analysis and management of the compensation programs that align with the SGS North America compensation strategy.
• Ensuring adherence to compliance standards, maintaining external competitiveness, and fostering internal equity for compensation programs in both Canada and the United States.
• Facilitating pay equity and transparency reporting efforts in Canada.
• Performing market research on salary budgets, aiding in system preparations, executing data audits, and developing training materials while instructing the HR community and Managers on necessary process steps.
• Collaborating with the Head of Total Rewards and the Finance team on the annual short-term incentive payout and monthly accrual processes.
• Overseeing additional variable compensation programs by preparing calculation files, conducting data audits, and coordinating payments with the payroll department.
• Leading the job description harmonization initiative by working alongside business and HR partners to optimize our job description repository.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of practical compensation experience supporting Canadian and US compensation programs within a large corporate setting.
• Proficient in Excel with hands-on experience, demonstrating expert-level skills in advanced functions, lookups, pivot tables, and data modeling.
• Professional compensation certifications, such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), are highly preferred.
• Strong understanding, interpretation, and application of compensation legislation in both Canada and the US.
• Capability to manage and coordinate multiple projects within a fast-paced, highly professional atmosphere.
• In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, market pricing techniques, and best practices in pay equity.
